To be born at a particular time and place fates us to be ruled by certain planets, and to have particular planets linked together as lifelong partners. And as the planets continue to move in their cyclic and orderly orbits in the sky, so too do these archetypal characters move on and off centre stage at pre-ordained times in our lives.

As you read through these prose poems you may recognize both your ruling planetary gods and which planetary characters are occupying centre stage at the present time in your life. The qualities they embody and the truths they speak can guide you to find your true life purpose and how best to meet the challenges of your present life circumstances.

For just as a shaman takes on the qualities of his power animal for the purpose of healing, so may we invoke the powers of the planets to grow into the person we were born to be.

In so doing, we are invoking the powers of the gods!
